A final note on this corner. Â Although the n-s road west of the corner is slightly closer than the n-s road to the east (in MI), I opted for the latter in order to follow the fence line, which worked well. Â The terrain to the west also looks sketchy and possible marshy. Â I am very partial to dry feet.

After much digging, I found my copy of the Camden MI-IN 7.5' topo. Â My visit was on 6/26/99. Â Field Notes: Â "Walk west along fence line from "X" (which I marked on the map at the point just north of the e-w fence line where the road makes a slight jog). Â Intersect north-south fence and follow north to corner markers (2) and fence corner." Â
I remember the view along the e-w fence line from the n-s road, but have zero memory of the corner itself. Â Apparently I found two markers. Â If I'm ever in the area again, I'll revisit the corner. Â Sure will be interesting to see if it "moves" by virtue of the new survey.

I don't have notes and never take photos, but as I remember, I hoofed it along the fence line shown on topo that leads to the state line just south of the corner, then headed north at either another fence line or apparent property line. This is quite a few years ago, but I am pretty sure I found a marker. Later today I'll dig out the topo and see if by some miracle I took some notes. of course I visited the tri-state point a bit south of the "trailhead" for the corner. Will advise about the topo---if I have any notes they will be on the margin of the map.

wow i tried that one too mike
it looks so easy on a map but it was very densely thicketed & only roughly discernible as i recallÂ
as a fence corner post perhaps
unless i missed it entirely
the easternmost of the 8 tricounty points is about a mile west of there

Have visited the monument at the NE corner of IN, a little less than a 1/4 mile bushwhack west from the N-S secondary road. Â Will be interesting to see if/how much it "moves."
