cesar with those of la guajira & magdalena
tho better evidence or confirmation for this precise identification remains
elusive
bing for example indicates this peak & tripoint to be 5 miles apart
the second candidate for high point of colombia namely the nearby pico
bolivar
is purportedly 20 to 45 meters taller than pico colon
but is said to be ignored or suppressed because the high point of neighbor
& rival venezuela is a different pico bolivar
& the risk of any further confusion at such already dizzying altitudes
might be intolerable
